Aidan Rooney Ratified as Senior Team Manager for 2026

Bunninadden GAA can confirm that Aidan Rooney has been ratified as Senior Team Manager for the 2026 season.

Aidan brings strong experience both as a player and coach. He played senior football with Glencar Manorhamilton (1984–2003) — winning a Senior League (1998) and Senior Championship (1999) — and also lined out with St. Mary’s (2004). At inter-county level, he represented Leitrim from 1987–2001. On the management side, Aidan has been involved with St. Mary’s underage (2004–2025), managed Sligo Minors (2014, 2015 & 2025), and has held senior roles with Glencar Manorhamilton (2016–2017) and St. Mary’s Senior (2019–2021).

Aidan is looking forward to getting started, and everyone in the club would like to welcome him to Bunninadden and wish him the best for the year ahead.
